A decision on quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was made by the San Francisco 49ers at the end of the night on Tuesday.
Garoppolo had shoulder surgery after guiding the 49ers to the NFC championship game. Although his availability for the 2022 season was initially in doubt due to that, it now appears to be set.
“QB Jimmy Garoppolo was formally cleared after having his physical with the #49ers this afternoon,” 49ers reporter Matt Maiocco stated. His shoulder surgery on March 8 did not put him on the PUP list, thus he will not be participating in spring training.
