It’s commonly anticipated that the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max would have an always-on display feature, and now we have some further information about how it will appear and function. This expectation is based on code discovered in iOS 16 and suggestions from reliable sources.
When the always-on mode is activated, widgets will be visible on the lock screen, for instance, fading in and out slowly to avoid screen burn-in.
The depth effect on lock screen wallpapers will be eliminated and dimmed in always-on mode. The user may choose the amount of highlighting in the foreground, which will be muted and coloured.

You won’t be able to choose different choices for the two distinct modes of operation as it appears that settings like wallpaper, colours, fonts, and widgets will be maintained identical between the always-on lock screen and the fully lighted lock screen.
The new information indicates that notifications will show on the always-on display, coming in from the bottom as they occur. There could be a notification counter at the bottom of the screen, and it seems like the user can modify different elements of the notification alert display.

Analysis: The Professional models are distinct
One of the many improvements believed to be limited to the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max variants is the always-on display, and it seems evident that Apple has decided to divide its flagship phone line into two different tiers.
According to the leaks thus far, the basic iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will continue Apple use the A15 Bionic chipset that powers the current iPhone 13 range, while the Pro and Pro Max versions will receive a brand-new A16 Bionic CPU. Apple is reportedly planning to continue using this strategy in the next years as well.
Additionally, there have been rumours that the Pro versions would include better screen technology. It appears that there will be a significant jump to the Pro level when all the standard advantages of the Pro models are taken into account, including an enhanced camera system in comparison to the iPhone models that are more reasonably priced.
That may be done to encourage more people to purchase more costly iPhones, but it does give the iPhone 14 the impression of being a less significant update than what we now have. If Apple’s plan is successful, only time will tell.
