With the Nothing ear 1, the company’s first set of wireless earbuds, Nothing was able to establish a solid reputation. Given how competitive the market for inexpensive wireless earbuds is, that’s no easy task. The translucent shape of the earphones made them stand out and gave them a unique look. The small business introduced the Nothing Phone 1 this year with a comparable transparent back design, building on the success of the Ear 1. Nothing is now getting ready to unveil its second set of wireless earbuds and third product, which were initially hinted in mid-September. At London Fashion Week, the business unveiled the look of its carrying case, which it dubbed the Ear stick.

The teaser images confirm the Ear stick will come with a cylindrical-shaped charging case—unlike the squarish carrying case of the Ear 1. Nothing says the design will allow the case to slide into your pocket easily. And just like other Nothing products, the Ear stick’s charging case will also have a transparent design. The company claims classic cosmetic silhouettes inspire the charging case design. Admittedly though, the cylindrical shape is not new as there are other wireless earbuds on the market that come with a similar-shaped charging case.

The wireless earbuds are not visible in any of the photographs, but based on the grooves in the charging case, they will still be shaped like stems. The Ear Stick is the “latest step in its line of audio devices,” according to the manufacturer. The earbuds could replace or be placed above the Ear 1 and will have a lightweight, ergonomic design. Additionally, if the earbuds are less expensive, they might not have ANC or other desirable features like wireless charging.

Later this year, the Ear stick’s complete product specifications and price will be officially announced.
