Google is reportedly developing a small Pixel smartphone with the codename “Neila,” according to a recent tip from Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station. According to rumours, the smartphone, which may turn out to be the Pixel 7a, would have a flat screen with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and a back visor similar to the Pixel 6 series phones. Despite the lack of more information, we may deduce that the smartphone is likely to be the Pixel 7a.
Google is already on schedule to introduce the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro on October 6 together with the Pixel Watch, its first-ever wearable. This suggests that the Pixel 7a might really debut in the third quarter of 2023. In favour of the bigger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus, Apple just revealed its iPhone 14 series, skipping the smaller tiny variant.
