Now that you’re singing out loud, you can focus on getting rid of your mush-mouth.
What you need to know
- For the first time, Spotify’s “real-time lyrics” function is available on the Google Nest Hub.
- Lyrics will gradually become more visible as the song proceeds, with the ones to come becoming more opaque.
- Because Spotify has collaborated with Musixmatch, this is an attempt to draw listeners further into the music.
Since the end of 2021, Spotify has been working hard to make its “real-time lyrics” available on as many platforms as possible. Real-time song lyrics are finally being offered by the Google Nest Hub(opens in a new tab).
When Spotify is playing fullscreen on your Nest Hub, Google(opens in new tab) has reported a new function. There will be a song lyrics button next to the player’s favorite at the bottom right of their UI. The album cover will be replaced with the song’s lyrics when you tap this. The lyrics will be highlighted in the middle of the screen as they are uttered. When there aren’t any lyrics, Spotify will add a music note to let listeners know.
Initially, this was a function supplied by Google Play Music in 2018, according to 9to5Google. With YouTube Music, this functionality has been ported over, although the lyrics are not updated in real-time as the song proceeds. Even if you don’t have Spotify Premium, you can still use the lyric function.
Music streaming service Spotify has made a concerted effort to bring some of its most desired features to the Google Nest Hub, including a lyric tool. Additionally, Spotify has teamed up with “Musixmatch,” the developers of Spotify’s active lyric capabilities.
