According to rumors, the release date for God of War Ragnarok would be announced today. Plans have, however, changed.

According to Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, a God of War Ragnarok update was planned for today. He tweeted earlier today that “as of very recently, there was actually a release date announcement planned for Thursday, June 30” (opens in new tab).

This is in accordance with sources who are said to be familiar with the circumstances. However, Cory Barlog, the game’s director, has stated the opposite on Twitter (opens in new tab). In his tweet, Schreier acknowledges this.

The delay of God of War Ragnarok

Just be patient, please, for the love of God, it’s scheduled to be released in 2022. The lesson from Twitter today is to avoid asking developers when their products will be released. They dislike being bothered.

Sony must be crossing its fingers that God of War Ragnarok will release before the year is through. While the Xbox Series X is still awaiting major releases, especially since that Starfield will not be released until 2023, the PS5 seemed to be doing nothing during Sony’s most recent State of Play.
