The vivo X Fold has long been rumoured to be vivo’s entry into the foldable smartphone market, and now we have our first look at the handset itself. Unreleased devices are known for their protective cases, and this one was clearly designed to keep the vivo X Fold out of the public view.
A square-shaped, inward folding screen is included with the X Fold, and it seems that the central half of the panel has no apparent creases. Vivo’s unique hinge mechanism is widely believed to be the driving force behind the gapless folding display. Folding screens will be coated with UTG glass, as well.
It has been speculated that Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU, an 8-inch QHD+ folding display, and a 4,600 mAh battery with 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging would all be included in the next vivo X Fold. Source (in Chinese) | Via
