Smartwatch enthusiasts who possess the newest models from Google are in for a treat today. Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro owners will soon be able to get their hands on the newest version of the Android operating system. The March feature drop for Pixels that are still supported was announced two weeks ago, and upgrades have been rolling out to the rest of the Pixels for the duration of that time. For those who possess one of the greatest Android phones on the market, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the last few months haven’t been easy.
Since a terrible Wi-Fi problem has been plaguing devices for over two months, people have begged Google to release the March update, which was supposed to fix hundreds of bugs along with the Android 12L Feature Drop. Now that April is almost around the corner, Google has released the March security patch for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones.
For the first time ever, the newest and best can finally get their hands on it. Many additional issues, including a two-month-old Wi-Fi reception glitch, should be addressed in this update. As a result, this is a significant update for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, and it’s advisable to download and install it as soon as you get the notice that it’s ready for your phone.
That message may take days, weeks, or even months to reach on all devices, though, since this is a Google product. If you live in the United States, you’ll be happy to learn that Verizon’s 5G C-Band network now gives both new Pixels “access to the full capability of 5G Ultra Wideband” after you obtain the upgraded version. As a result, these Pixels are the first smartphones other than Apple and Samsung to support that band.
There are already OTA zips and factory images available on Google’s site, but if you don’t know what any of that means, it’s better to wait for the over-the-air rollout to reach your phone.
