Euphoria season 3 release date spec: Everything we know so far

Season 3 ended with a bang, but there are still a few storey holes to be filled. Thankfully, HBO has announced that there will be a fourth season. It’s not clear what the third instalment of Euphoria will cover, who will return from the original cast, and when we might expect it to premiere.

Season 3 of Euphoria has yet to be officially announced, but here is all we do know.

No, she won’t be returning for the third season.

Yes! At the beginning of February, HBO confirmed that Euphoria will be returning for a third season.

Currently, HBO officials aren’t sure whether Euphoria’s third season will be its final – in fact, they don’t know for sure.

Casey Bloys, HBO’s Chief Content Officer, told TVLine earlier this month: “I’ll let [executive producer] Sam [Levinson] and Zendaya speak about [that].”

“I’m looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us in season 3. Let them deal with it. In general, I think we can put our faith in where they’re taking these individuals. So we’ll let the creative team take the lead.”

There’s no official word on when or if Euphoria will return for a third season yet, but it won’t be for at least a few more years.

Due to her busy production schedule for forthcoming films by Luca Guadagnino and her Emmy-winning role as disturbed adolescent Rue, the movie’s leading lady, Zendaya, will be filming Challengers in the spring before shooting Dune: Part Two in the summer.

There might be a year before production can even begin, which means we won’t see the next season premiere until 2024 at the earliest.

Cast and crew of Euphoria season three

Casey Bloys, HBO’s Chief Content Officer and Executive Vice President of Programming, confirmed to TVLine that Zendaya will be returning to the show in season 3.

Bloys says it’s “impossible to fathom doing [the show] without her,” which confirms our suspicions that Zendaya won’t be departing anytime soon.

On the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Dominic Fike said that he will “definitely” be returning as Elliot in season 3.

The rest of the cast, including Hunter Schafer (Jules), Alex Demie (Maddy), Barbie Ferreira (Kat), Maude Apatow (Lexi), Sydney Sweeney (Cassie), Jacob Elordi (Nate), Storm Reid (Gia Bennett), Colman Domingo (Ali), Austin Abrams (Ethan), and Nika King (Leslie Bennett), are all expected to return for season three.

Due to Cal Jacobs’ apparent disappearance, we have no idea whether Eric Dane will return to reprise his part. Likewise, we have no idea if Fezco (Angus Cloud) or Ashtray (Javon Walton) will make it out of the season finale alive.

New cast members like Martha Kelly (Laurie), Chloe Cherry (Faye) and Minka Kelly (Samantha) may be returning for a second season.

The third season of Euphoria is about to begin.

At this moment, it’s impossible to predict what Euphoria’s third season will look like, although the show’s cast has hinted at a few storey aspects.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actress who portrays Lexi on the show, Maude Apatow, expressed her desire to see a slow-burn romance between Fez and Lexi. “Angus is a joy to work with. and we have so much fun working together that I believe Angus is an excellent actor “she said on the subject. This is a good time for me, therefore I hope we can do more scenes together in the future.

Season 3 will see the heroin-addict Faye get closer to Rue, says newcomer Chloe Cherry, who portrays her.

“They’d have a good chemistry. Faye and Rue both have stories to share about their battles with addiction, and I believe they may benefit from each other’s experiences “she said. “Rue is likewise a non-judgmental persona, and I believe that is all Faye needs. This common experience and their calm demeanour make me believe that the two of them might easily get along if they were closer.”

Predictions for the season include that Rue’s recovery effort (and, most likely, another relapse) will be the focus of the third season, while Lexi struggles with the consequences of her performance, which led to the breakup between Cassie and Nate.
