Unfortunately for those expecting for a foldable iPhone before the end of the year, this is not going to happen.
According to display specialist Ross Young, a foldable iPhone from Apple is unlikely to be available until at least 2025.
Ross Young, a Display Supply Chain Consultants expert, has revealed information on the present scenario in terms of when Apple would deploy a foldable iPhone – and it’s terrible news for those wanting to bend their iPhone in half as early as next year.
According to Young’s “supply chain connections,” Apple will not have a foldable iPhone ready to ship until at least 2025, instead of the previously expected 2023.
After consulting with our supply chain connections, we have pushed back our predictions for Apple’s entry into the foldable smartphone market by two years to 2025. As of now, it seems that the corporation isn’t in a rush to get into the foldable smartphone industry.
However, the news isn’t all that shocking. Apple has a history of avoiding releasing products that it deems to have flaws because of its desire to arrive late to the party. Even while foldable smartphones have made significant progress since the first Galaxy Fold appeared a few years ago, there are still certain issues to be resolved.
However, none of this implies that advancement in iPhone display technology has halted. The notch is anticipated to be replaced with a hole-punch or pill-shaped cutout on this year’s iPhone 14 Pro handsets. However, removing the notch is still a poor option for a foldable iPhone.
