As the labour market tightens, Apple plans to provide increases to its retail staff in order to keep them.
With its retail workers’ wages set to rise this week, Apple has begun giving briefings and one-on-one talks with staff.
Pay raises will be implemented beginning this month for salespeople, Genius Bar assistance, and certain senior hourly staff. The rises will be between 2% and 10%, depending on the location and function of the shop.

Increases in pay are being offered to employees who worked at Apple retail stores prior to the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, according to Bloomberg. The ultimate objective is to better integrate new workers with existing employees. All workers aren’t affected by the raises, and the adjustments haven’t been communicated to all shops.
Starting in April, Apple plans to considerably raise the perks of workers in Apple Stores. To keep workers, the corporation aims to increase sick leave and vacation time.
According to a report in December, hourly employees at Apple’s retail shops and support contact centres have highlighted how bad working conditions have led to financial difficulties and even suicide.
