Developers that have apps that aren’t ready for public release can file a request on Apple’s website to distribute unlisted apps, which aren’t shown in any App Store categories, recommendations, charts, search results, or other listings. Apple Business Manager and Apple School Manager can also be used to access unlisted apps.
According to Apple, unlisted distribution is appropriate for apps for specialised companies, unique events, research studies, or staff sales tools and resources. Apps that are not mentioned are supported in all countries where the App Store is available. Does pixel Watch arrive? How much will it cost? Everything we know so far
Developers may use Apple’s request form to submit requests for both new and current apps. If the app is accepted, the distribution method will be changed to “Unlisted App” and will apply to all future versions of the app. Unlisted apps are accessible to anybody with the link, and if the app is already published on the App Store, the existing URL will stay the same.
According to Apple, unlisted apps must be ready for final distribution, and requests for apps in a beta or pre-release condition will be refused. Unlisted distribution, in other words, cannot be utilised for TestFlight-like reasons.
