Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman discussed his predictions for new Apple goods this year in the newest issue of his Power On newsletter today.

Gurman stated that Apple intends to release a third-generation iPhone SE with 5G and a faster CPU, a new iPad Air, and at least one new Mac powered by Apple silicon this spring, with an Apple Event scheduled for March or April. Also Apple’s iPad 9th generation and 24-inch iMac are both on sale for up to $100 discount, and both are in stock

The next iPhone SE is likely to look the same as the current model, with a 4.7-inch display and a Touch ID home button.

According to the Japanese blog Mac Otakara, Apple is planning to release a fifth-generation iPad Air as early as this spring with features similar to the sixth-generation iPad mini, such as an A15 Bionic chip, a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage support, 5G for cellular models, and a Quad-LED True Tone flash.

Gurman anticipates that Apple will offer a bigger iMac powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs this year, with iMac Pro branding and an appearance comparable to the 24-inch iMac released last year. This year will also see the arrival of a high-end Mac mini configuration powered by the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs.

According to Gurman, Apple is preparing a “major upgrade” to the AirPods Pro later this year, with Ming-Chi Kuo, an often-accurate analyst, previously claiming that a rollout is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2022.

Gurman and Bloomberg’s Debby Wu recently reported that Apple had tested a more compact design for the second-generation AirPods Pro, which would eliminate the stems that extend below the earphones. If this is the final design, the new AirPods Pro may resemble Apple’s Beats Studio Buds, which were launched last year.

Gurman and Wu also stated that the upcoming AirPods Pro will have motion sensors for fitness tracking, similar to the Apple Watch.

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the new AirPods Pro will include a “substantially enhanced” wireless chip over the existing AirPods Pro’s H1 chip. The processor is responsible for audio-related operations like as active noise reduction, and advancements in this technology may result in longer battery life for more listening time per charge. Kuo also anticipates that the new AirPods Pro will feature lossless music from Apple Music.
