The Ryzen 6000 CPUs are meant to provide higher graphics performance for 1080p gaming thanks to TSMC’s 6nn process technology. The batteries last longer and there are more functionalities on the chips.
AMD’s next mobile CPU iteration, the Ryzen 6000, is based on the Zen 3+ architecture. This 6000 series are just for laptops (for now), whereas the desktop series will bypass this number and move right to 7000.

Prices and availability for the AMD Ryzen 6000
There will be 13 distinct Ryzen 6000 CPUs and over 200 laptops employing these new AMD processors in 2022, meaning that cost will range based on laptop configuration and retailers.
The first Ryzen 6000-powered laptops started launching in February of 2022. Laptops from Dell, Razer, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, and HP are among the many that fall into this category, as are productivity and gaming models.
The Ryzen 7000 (or possibly 8000) mobile chips may also be released in 2022, but that’s for a separate article since they’ll likely go by the moniker Zen 4.
Configurations for the AMD Ryzen 6000

AMD’s CES 2022 address did not offer a lot about the next generation of desktop CPUs, but they surely shared plenty for Ryzen 6000.
The switch to the Zen 3+ architecture is the most notable improvement over the previous generation of mobile CPUs.
AMD Ryzen 6000: Performance
AMD Ryzen 6000 CPUs are based on the upgraded AMD Zen 3+ core, which is geared to give greater performance-for-watt. The CPUs include clock rates of up to 5GHz, 1.3x better processing speeds, and up to 2.1x quicker graphics over the 5000 series.
New adaptive power management features alter speed fast. A new power-saving function called “deep sleep” is included in this update. According to AMD, Ryzen 6000 CPUs may consume up to 30 percent less power for video conferencing. The business believes the processors can accomplish up to 24 hours of movie playing on a single charge.

The Ryzen 6000 CPUs contain up to eight cores, each capable of executing several tasks at the same time, and can give up to 16 threads of processing capability. AMD claims that the new CPUs outperform the 5000 series graphics cards by up to 11% in single-threaded performance and by up to 28% in multithreaded performance.
In Doom Eternal, the Ryzen 6800U’s iGPU outperforms both the Nvidia MX450 and the Intel i7-iGPU 1165G7’s by up to three times. That’s astounding but, anticipated, knowing that the GPU would share the system’s memory which will be DDR5. More on it later.
Since these are AMD’s own marketing benchmarks, we can look at some independent verification.
Currently, the most fascinating product combined with an AMD Ryzen 6000 series has to be the Zephyrus G14. This laptop has crushed all records these last many years, so let’s see if the 2022 edition will be just as fantastic.
First mobile processors with RDNA 2 architecture-based integrated graphics are AMD Ryzen 6000 CPUs. AMD says the Ryzen 6000 processors feature the world’s first on-chip graphics that can seamlessly play the overwhelming majority of PC games in Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) (1920 x 1080 pixels). A new integrated display engine is also included in the CPUs, allowing for better resolutions and refresh rates to be achieved. AMD said that the Ryzen 6000 Series allows up to 70 percent quicker gaming performance compared to competition. Other features include dynamic HDR displays and AMD FreeSync.
As of 2022, AMD’s most powerful laptop CPU will be the Ryzen 9 6980HX. It contains eight cores with 16 threads, a basic 3.3GHz frequency and a boosted top speed of 5GHz. AMD boasts that the 6980HX is the “fastest AMD Ryzen CPU ever.” The Ryzen 9 5950X desktop processor has a maximum clock speed of 4.9GHz, thus this is technically valid. But as we noted in our initial post on the AMD 6000 Series CPUs, we would be prepared to wager that last year’s top-end Ryzen desktop CPU would surpass this year’s best Ryzen laptop CPU.
AMD Ryzen 6000: Enhanced security and more features
There includes AI noise reduction and Wi-Fi 6E connection on Ryzen 6000 graphics cards, as well as DDR5 memory.
The new AMD cards will be among the first x86 processors with complete support for Windows 11 security features, due to their integrated Microsoft Pluton security processor. AMD Ryzen 6000: Future
The AMD Ryzen 6000 Series processors are obviously geared to compete Intel’s new 12th Gen Intel Core Alder Lake CPUs. Based on the statistics AMD presented, the chips will give considerable performance gains to laptops. The most interesting part is that Ryzen 6000-powered devices are now available. That means we’ll soon be able to do our own benchmarks to verify whether the processors are capable of all AMD says.
The cost for these chips relies totally on laptop makers. But, given there are so many various Ryzen 6000 SKUs, we’ll definitely see laptops at practically all price ranges.
