In 2022, Acquire will host its own YouTube game show. Tenchu, Way of Samurai and Akiba’s Trip’s creators will give a retrospective of their work in this livestream. Also attending will be Takuma Endo, the CEO of the company.
In anticipation of its impending game show stream, Acquire has released a teaser trailer. A brief history of the corporation is shown, beginning with Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, released for PlayStation in 1998. Katana Kami: A Way of the Samurai Story, the studio’s most recent release, is now available across all major platforms, including the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
On its Japanese Twitter account, the firm is also soliciting questions from its followers. In the upcoming stream, Takuma Endo will respond to some of the questions.
Acquire announced Labyrinth of Zangetsu in early 2021. As originally planned, the 3D dungeon RPG would have been released on PS4, Switch, and PC in the year 2021. Since then, the company has not released a new press release. When the product page on its website was altered to remove the platforms and move the release date to 2022, it was done in an unnoticed manner.
New Game Plus Expo 2022 will be held at the end of March 2022, and Kamiwaza: Way of the Thief will be unveiled at the event. Previously exclusively accessible in Japan, this game has been re-released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Developed by Acquire, Kamiwaza Tourai will be released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan in Fall 2022. The PC version of the game will also be released at the same time as the global English localization.
On Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 20:00 JST, Acquire Game Show will premiere (7 AM ET).
