The newest lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles has been unveiled by Microsoft, and it includes a new life-sim that whisks you away to a Disneyized version of Pelican Town.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is the featured Xbox Game Pass release this month. It’s a light RPG simulator that lets you explore a wonderful area and assist the friendly characters that call it home. It’s a mix between Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and pretty much every iconic Disney IP. Meeting your neighbours, making things, and doing quests will all be on your agenda.

Although Dreamlight Valley may display its inspirations overtly, it also seeks to innovate in a few key areas. It puts a lot of emphasis on the story, giving you a tonne of major adventures and extra jobs to do, all from beloved Disney and Pixar characters. If you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can also watch it using Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Metal: Hellsinger is at the other extreme of the tonal range. The demonic FPS, which will also be available on Game Pass this month, is a hybrid of Doom and vintage rhythm games. To the beat of an original heavy metal soundtrack, you’ll be able to shred and tear your way through swarms of horned creatures.

Take up command

In addition, Microsoft said that Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation will be available on Game Pass. With its gigantic armies of robots and frigates for you to clash, this massive-scale RTS mimics the colourfully dramatic battle of Supreme Commander.
