Have you ever seen a new phone and thought to yourself, “I’ve seen it before.” This isn’t only due to the fact that smartphones are becoming more similar in design; with each passing month, more and more companies are renaming their products. Xiaomi and its sub-brands Redmi and Poco are likely the most guilty of playing this game, but Oppo and OnePlus are no strangers to it either. Rumor has it that they’re doing it all over again.
According to rumours, OnePlus is working on a foldable phone. According to reports, the phone is a duplicate of OPPO’s Find N, which was never released in India or other foreign markets. Yogesh Brar, a tipper, provided the information.
We’ve previously seen the Oppo Find N, which is rumoured to be a OnePlus foldable phone this year. But the source of today’s story claims this will be the only real difference: a new name. No word yet on when this model will be released, but it can’t come fast enough: The Find N is a wonderful smartphone that Oppo doesn’t want to distribute worldwide for some reason, despite the fact that it’s garnered the most international interest of any Oppo product in recent years.
There are now no foldable smartphones on the market from OnePlus or Realme. OnePlus, as opposed to OPPO, may be able to sell its foldable smartphone all over the world. It has been stated that OPPO would work more closely with OnePlus, and OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau was engaged in the creation of Find N. It’s no surprise, therefore, that OnePlus is working on a foldable smartphone based on the OPPO Find N.
OnePlus and OPPO have already introduced smartphones with similar features, with the latter also announcing a Hasselblad cooperation for its Find X5 series. Nothing more is known about the key characteristics of this supposed foldable smartphone other from that. The look of the OnePlus 5T will be intriguing to see if OnePlus makes any additional alterations to reflect its own brand.
