Nokia has granted a licence to a producer of a new Nokia PureBook Pro , this time laptops, under which the name will be used.
The PureBook Pro laptop has a 17.3″ and a 15.6″ screen option. The gadget is manufactured by OFF Global, a French start-up with a distribution arrangement with Nokia for 22 countries across the globe.
Backlighting on the keyboard and large trackpad complete the device’s metal top surface. With a 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM, both models have the same Intel Core i3-1220P processor, but only one memory option: 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD.
Batteries for the 17-inch model have a capacity of 63Wh, while those for the 12-inch model have 57Wh capacity. The former comes in at a hefty 2.5kg, while the latter comes in at a more manageable 1.7kg. Both are enormous..
The 17-inch and 15-inch models are identical in terms of connection. USB-A 3.2 and 3.5mm jacks are included in both enclosures.
The Nokia PureBook Pro line is available in Blue, Gray, Silver, and Red hues, and will go on sale in the second quarter of 2022 at select shops. It’s now available in first-wave nations such as Canada and the United Kingdom as well as countries in Europe such as France and Belgium as well as Scandinavian countries such as Sweden and Denmark as well as countries in the Middle East such as Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt.
Oddly, India does not appear on this list. Laptops with the Nokia name will be manufactured and sold in India by Flipkart, a famous online retailer.
In comparison, the Nokia PureBook Pro 15.6″ is available for € 699, while the Nokia PureBook Pro 17.3″ is available for € 799.
