For some time now, Microsoft has offered an official connection between Android phones and Windows 10, and the service has now been upgraded to coincide with the release of Windows 11 for desktop machines.

Phone Link is the new name for the Your Phone app, which now has a fresh new look with alerts placed right in the centre of the screen. Following a cooperation with Honor, Microsoft announced that the service would be accessible in China, bringing compatibility for select smartphones of this now-independent smartphone brand.

Scan a QR code and Windows 11 instantly downloads the programme for you; before, you had to download it manually from Microsoft’s store on your smartphone. Link to Windows is now the name of the actual software, rather than Your Phone Companion.

With the release of Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system, Phone Link also received several design updates. The colour palette is more customizable, and the software as a whole has a more Windows 11-like appearance.

Aside from Samsung and Surface Duo phones, Phone Link has always provided rudimentary communication between Android and Windows. It will be simpler to open and navigate phone apps on PC for the foldable Honor Magic V and its predecessors (Major 4, Major 4, Major Ultimate) now that Honor has partnered with them, as well as the Magic3, Major 3, Major 3, Major Pro+.
