After four seasons, why is “Legacies” being cancelled?

In addition to The Originals and The Vampire Diaries, Legacies served as the third show in the series’ universe.

Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) is a vampire-werewolf-witch “tribrid” who attends Alaric Saltzman’s Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted (Matt Davis).

Legacies was tasked with upholding not one but two of the franchise’s storied histories when it debuted in The Originals (pardon the pun).

Magnum P.I. and Rosewell, New Mexico were among the other six shows whose cancellations were revealed, and the move looks to be connected to the network’s suspected sale, according to TVLine.

With an average audience of 760,000 viewers and a 0.2 demo rating every week, Legacies Season 4 ratings fell short of Season 3’s 1 million viewers and 0.3 demo rating.
