In December, iQOO debuted the iQOO U5, which included a Snapdragon 695 SoC and 5G connection. Today, the firm revealed the iQOO U5, which lacks 5G connectivity but is cheaper.

IQOO has secretly unveiled the iQOO U5x in China, which is a new affordable 4G phone. An same design can be seen on the iQOO U5x and Vivo T1 5G. Waterdrop notches and a polycarbonate casing distinguish this phone. iQOO U5x is a budget smartphone that costs CNY 849 (about Rs 11,000) out of the box.

U5x is powered by Snapdragon 680 SoC, runs Android 11-based OriginOS Ocean, has four or eight GB of RAM. The phone offers 128GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for up to 1TB of storage expansion.

Polar Blue and Star Black are the two colour choices for the iQOO U5x. CNY 849 (Approx. Rs. 11,000) and CNY 1,049 (Approx. Rs. 12,500) are the prices for the device’s 4GB RAM/ 128GB storage and 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage models, respectively. Outside of China, no one has heard anything about the iQOO U5x.

With a 6.51-inch HD+ display and a notch for the 8MP front-facing camera, the U5x offers a 3D grid-pattern back panel with two 13MP main and 2MP macro sensors.

The iQOO U5x has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged through a microUSB connector at up to 10W.

With an 8GB/128GB version of the iQOO U5x, the price is CNY1,099 ($170/€160), while the 4GB/128GB variant is CNY899 ($140). The U5x is currently available in two colours in China via the official website of the firm, but it is not known whether it will be made available in other locations.
