Battery capacities for new Apple Watch models surface

Apple has a tendency to ignore battery capacity measurements for its devices in favour of expressing battery life in hours. As a result, China’s 3C agency has already compiled a list of all the new Apple Watch models that were unveiled last week. Fortunately for us, certification organisations still publish true mAh figures for all goods that pass through their databases.

Out all the recently unveiled watches, the Apple Watch SE (40mm) features the lowest battery at 245mAh. To 296mAh with the 44mm Watch SE. The 41mm model of the Apple Watch Series 8 has a 282mAh battery, whereas the 45mm one has a 308mAh one. With an always-on display, automatic activity monitoring, and fall detection, the Watch Series 8 has an 18-hour battery life, but you can quadruple that to 36 hours by switching to the optional low-power mode.

With a 542mAh cell, Apple Watch Ultra has the most battery capacity of any Apple Watch to date. According to Apple, the Watch Ultra can operate normally for up to 36 hours with an always-on display, automated exercises, and a steady heart rate. Apple will also be releasing a low-power mode later this year, which should increase the Ultra’s battery life to 60 hours.
