A new Safari Technology Preview update from Apple is now available. Safari Technology Preview is Apple’s experimental web browser, initially published in March 2016. New features that may be included in future versions of Safari are tested via the Safari Technology Preview programme.

New features in the Safari Technology Preview version 140 include bug fixes and performance improvements in the following areas: web inspector and CSS; web API; web animation; Javascript; WebAssembly; Dialog Element; HTML; media; accessibility; privacy; SVG; scrolling; and more.

MacOS Monterey’s Safari 15 features have been included into the current Safari Technology Preview version.

Anyone who has downloaded Safari may get the Safari Technology Preview update through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences. The Safari Technology Preview website has the whole set of release notes for this version.

Users and developers are invited to provide comments on Apple’s browser development process through Safari Technology Preview. In addition to running alongside the current Safari web browser, Safari Technology Preview may be downloaded without a developer account and used in conjunction with the current Safari web browser.
