Cher Scarlett, one of the organisers of the #AppleToo movement, claims that she was unable to get a new position because Apple changes the job descriptions of former workers at will, thus her résumé no longer matched Apple’s records.
In the early days of the #AppleToo campaign, Cher Scarlett was a key figure in the movement’s development. A strange business practise at Apple has been revealed by her since she left, and she’s been fighting against the company’s attempts to get her to sign an NDA.
Apple, according to the Washington Post, changes the public record of a person’s employment title after they leave the firm. According to reports, no matter what their real job title was when working at Apple, they are always referred to as “Associates.”
Maybe they’re trying to hide the fact that a large number of individuals are leaving at the same moment. Scarlett, on the other hand, notes that regardless of Apple’s justifications, a firm revoked its offer of employment to her.

When she updated her résumé, an employment verification agency was unable to do so. The verification process took about a week longer than expected, and as a result, the firm had to withdraw its employment offer.
The Washington Post writes that an Apple spokeswoman stated that the company had been changing job titles to associate “for years,” but did not give a rationale for this shift.
The representative told the magazine, “We are and have always been passionately dedicated to developing and maintaining a healthy and inclusive workplace.” In order to protect the privacy of anyone affected, we do not disclose particular personnel situations. “We take all complaints seriously and carefully investigate anytime a concern is presented.”
US state treasurers have also urged the SEC to examine Apple’s usage of NDAs with workers, as Scarlett has highlighted.
