Apple Park is the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. Staff were allowed in April 2017. Apple has now applied for a “figurative” trademark for Apple Park. Intriguingly, Apple’s trademark categorization includes “augmented reality tours of company offices.”

Apple claims the trademark is for “providing tours of company headquarters using augmented reality.”

The announcement comes as speculations continue to circulate around an Apple VR headset coming later this year.

Apple is reportedly working on a mixed reality device that combines AR and VR. Insider Ming-Chi Kuo predicted a late-2022 release with power comparable to Apple’s M1 Mac processor. Other stories suggest the headgear has two 8K monitors and costs $3,000 or more. In the $300-900 range, Mark Gurman has said that it will cost considerably more.

In any case, Apple’s new trademark might be a hint to a new reality experience the corporation hopes to provide on-site at its Apple Park Campus.
