Oppo first launched ColorOS 13 in August, and handsets are now beginning to receive the OS upgrade. The flagship Find X5 and Find X5 Pro, which already had a stable version available, were most notable and first in line.
Keeping with its original update roadmap, the Reno 8 Pro 5G has now started receiving beta builds of ColorOS 13 in India. The same goes for the Oppo F21 Pro, which was originally part of the October beta wave, but has apparently been moved up.
If you are eligible and interested, you do still have to apply for the beta program. The process is pretty straightforward and is all done through the phone’s update interface. The instructions are in the following image.
Recall that ColorOS 13 has Aquamorphic design and card style components in addition to a significant aesthetic change. Other changes include improved AOD, animated effects, and a new Spotify-compatible playback control. Along with improved privacy and security features, the new OS version also emphasises cross-device compatibility with Windows devices and the Oppo Air tablet.
