The new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset from Qualcomm has sparked a rush by manufacturers to update their high-performance gadgets. In addition to the 12S series, Xiaomi is also expected to announce a Redmi phone with the latest top-end processor.
A new Redmi K50 flagship using the Qualcomm platform is now in the works, according to the company’s brand chief Lu Weibing, better known as William Lu.
The Plus’ CPU and GPU are 33 percent and 30 percent more efficient, respectively, according to a graphic that was previously provided by Xiaomi. Redmi K50 Ultra was the name we were expecting, but because the series is currently only available in China, we haven’t heard anything about a successor.
Redmi K50S, a moniker similar to the Xiaomi 12S series, has been rumored. S was previously used to signify a unique member of the Redmi range rather than a new version of the model name itself.
