With its latest update, the Xperia Pro-I improves live streaming

Must Read

Your Sony Xperia Pro-I smartphone includes a few additional capabilities designed exclusively for live streaming.

Sony’s most recent over-the-air (OTA) update for the Xperia Pro-I works in tandem with the Videography Pro software to allow you to do more with your live streams, reinforcing the impression that the device is more camera than phone. Furthermore, when used in conjunction with the GP-VPT2BT shooting grip accessory, you will be able to assign your own custom functions to the grip’s C1 custom key directly through the app.

The update makes it easier to share your live streams by allowing you to stream directly to some social media platforms via the Videography Pro app. Something that will almost certainly save you a few extra steps. You’ll also be able to record streams with the front-facing camera if you decide it’s necessary.

Videography Pro can also detect whether you’re live streaming at up to 120fps in vertical mode and will add that information to the video file metadata. It’s something Sony claims will make filming and editing vertical videos easier because you’ll (supposedly) have an easier time keeping your videos organised.

The latest live streaming update for the Xperia Pro-I is now available for download. You must also have the Videography Pro app loaded in order to access the new capabilities. These features are also “…subject to terms and conditions, and may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued at any time, as well as fees, registration, and credit card information.”
