Dragon Ball Z fans will recognise the new Xbox Series X controller shell colour from OtterBox.
The new Lilac Dream colour of the Easy Grip controller shell is designed to be “spring-inspired,” with its pastel lilac and pink grips and glittering outer shell. However, we can’t help but see a resemblance to Frieza from Dragon Ball Z. Here’s what you’ll find out:

Despite OtterBox’s promises that the Easy Grip controller cover is thin and drop-resistant, we haven’t gotten a chance to test it out for ourselves yet. For those who become tired of the Frieza-esque colour scheme on the grip pads, OtterBox offers a variety of alternative colours, including an Evangelion-like purple.
OtterBox’s website has the shell available for $39.95 if you’re interested. However, price and availability in the United Kingdom and Australia are still to be determined (about £30 / AU$53). For the grip, though, you’ll have to fork up a few more bucks.

Sadly, the black Xbox Series X controller comes bundled with the Xbox Series X, but the white Xbox Series S controller comes packaged with the Xbox Series S or may be bought separately and may not appear nearly as Frieza-like as a white Xbox Series X|S controller does.
When OtterBox releases a black controller grip in orange and blue, we’ll be able to include Goku.
