After being available on PlayStation 4 for more than five years, Nier: Automata is now coming to Nintendo Switch.
During today’s Nintendo Partner Direct, which also featured announcements for Persona 5 Royal and other highly anticipated RPGs, Square Enix confirmed the Switch release.
Automata: Nier All previously published material as well as brand-new outfits that are available only in the Nintendo Switch version are both included in the End of YoRHa Edition. It will join previous PS4, PC, and Xbox One releases.
Director Yoko Taro became well-known to RPG enthusiasts through the game Nier: Automata, which also propelled the franchise into the public eye. It has been hailed as one of the year’s best games and follows androids by the names of 2B and 9S as they discover the ruins of human society. It is a loose continuation of the first Nier, taking place a very long time after one of the game’s endings.
Nier: Automata received high praise for being a “excellent action RPG loaded with breathtaking landscapes and crazy, fun-filled combat” in IGN’s review. Given the original game’s specialized nature, it has sold more than 6 million units globally as of July 2021.
Since then, it has developed into a series, complete with an upgraded remaster for the original game and an anime adaptation. Taro is reportedly currently working on his upcoming game, which will undoubtedly be bizarre.
On October 6, Nier: Automata will be made available on the Nintendo Switch for those who haven’t played it yet. The whole recap of our Nintendo Direct Mini is available right here.
