After a fire broke out on one of the slide attractions at Canada’s Wonderland, the waterpark was shut down for the day on Monday.
A “minor structure fire” broke out around 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, according to a statement from the park.
After the park closed around 6 p.m., all customers and employees were evacuated from affected areas, according to a statement.
No one was hurt and the source of the blaze is being probed by emergency responders.
The park was evacuated “as a precaution” due to billowing smoke, according to York Regional Police on Twitter.
On the west side of the waterpark, there was a “pump house” structure, which appears to have sparked the blaze before spreading to a slide and a few trees.
Fireworks may have sparked the incident, according to a spokeswoman.
This year’s concert at Canada’s Wonderland was confirmed to have taken place around 10 p.m., but the park’s cause is still under investigation.
