at exactly 4:34 PM Pacific Time — To all the talk about her career being compared to Zendaya’s, Keke Palmer doesn’t want to play the comparison game or attempt to seem like she’s a victim of colorism. Instead, she’s demonstrating pleasure in her own accomplishments.

In KP’s words, “To think I can be compared to anyone is a wonderful example of colorism. I’m the youngest talk show host in history. Nickelodeon’s first black female lead and the first black Cinderella on Broadway. I’m a one-of-a-kind prodigy. Keke Palmer is the real deal, baby.”

She goes on to say, “Since I was 11, I’ve worked in the entertainment industry as a leading girl. Even though I have more than a hundred credits to my name, I’m not now appearing in the highest-grossing film of an original screenplay. Note that Zendaya has stated numerous times that she wants to help the Black community in entertainment get on the same level as her own.

Unfortunately, there are no simple answers to these questions, thus this argument will undoubtedly continue in the future. As for Keke, we’ll just say that she’s been killing it for as long as anyone can remember, but “Nope” is a game changer. Every now and again, there are opportunities that can launch a career, and
