In 2024, Charlie Cox will return to the role of Daredevil.
Indeed, the rumors were genuine. At the San Diego Comic-Con in 2022, it was announced that Charlie Cox would reprise his role as Daredevil on television.

Date of the release of Daredevil: Born anew
The first 18 episodes of Daredevil: Born Again will air in the spring of 2024.
For the sake of reference, the Netflix live-action Daredevil series aired from 2015 to 2018 and featured 39 episodes.
Daredevil: Born Again’s plot line has been kept completely a secret. There may be some clues in the title, though.
Daredevil: Born Again story
If a show is revived from the dead, then “Born Again” could simply allude to that fact. But it also shares the name of a plotline that ran from issues #227 to 231 of the comic book series.
According to Den of Geek(opens in a new tab), Born Again is one of the darkest plotlines in the comic and would be heavier than anything in the MCU to date if it were made into a film adaptation.
As the story progresses, we learn that Karen Page has agreed to divulge Daredevil’s true identity to Kingpin in exchange for drug money. Matt Murdock’s life is torn apart by Kingpin as a result of the information he obtains, and he ends himself bankrupt, homeless, and without hope. In the end, Daredevil and Captain America work together to take on Nuke, a supersoldier.
Although Netflix has already used some of the story arc’s plot components, there is still plenty of material for the next series to draw from assuming it isn’t deemed redundant.
Daredevil: Born Again cast
So far just Charlie Cox (Daredevil) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Kingpin) have been confirmed for the show.
If the plot theory above is confirmed as correct, then hopefully we’ll see Deborah Ann Woll reprising her role as Karen Page, but nothing has been confirmed either way.
Daredevil: Born Again on Netflix?
Following a three-season run in 2018, Marvel’s Daredevil was cancelled by Netflix for unknown reasons. It’s more plausible that Disney was attempting to acquire all of its Marvel holdings for its own streaming service, Disney Plus, which was launched in 2018.
As Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio explained to the Marvel News Desk podcast in January, “We started to uncover the reasons why that happened and so we understood what Marvel was doing with Disney Plus coming out.”
Disney Plus will only have access to the new shows, but Netflix will still have access to the prior three seasons.
To what reason are the two shows separated by so long? For two years after Netflix’s cancellation, Variety alleges that the characters couldn’t appear in any non-Netflix programs or films at all. There is no longer any doubt that Daredevil and Kingpin will be shown in greater depth than what has already been announced.
