The new iPhone may have the same processor as last year’s model, but it may include extra memory.
We’ve seen previous leaks about the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro’s specs, but this is by far the most complete we’ve seen.
Apple will offer four new iPhone 14 models in the fall, according to market research firm TrendForce (via 9to5Mac (opens in new tab)). All four of these are scheduled to be unveiled at the same time, and they’re dubbed “iPhone 14.” However, it appears that the standard iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro will have significant differences in terms of specifications.
Our guess is that TrendForce means the A16 Bionic when they say “only the latest processors are utilised in the Pro series.” This confirms prior speculations that Apple will use the A15 Bionic processor found in the iPhone 13 in the upcoming iPhone 14.
The news isn’t all terrible, though, because TrendForce predicts that Apple will double the RAM in the iPhone 14 and 14 Max from 4GB to 6GB of LPDDR4X. It’s worth noting that the iPhone 13 is still the fastest phone on the market, according to our benchmark testing.

iPhone 14 Pro vs iPhone 14: Get ready for big differences
It appears that the iPhone 14 Pro will have a number of major differences that will make it more intriguing than the standard version. Among other things, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are rumoured to contain a new 48MP camera, quadrupling the predicted 12MP sensor on the ordinary iPhone 14.
You may expect a full-screen experience on the iPhone 14 Pro series, which is expected to have a punchhole and pill-shaped cutout for Face ID technology.
The iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, according to various rumours, will have an always-on display as well. Users will be able to enjoy widgets on their lock screens thanks to a new feature coming in iOS 16. Then, without having to switch on the phone, you may get additional information at your fingertips.
There are also a few exclusive features reserved for the iPhone 14 Pro series that won’t be available on any other version of the iPhone 14. As part of its ProMotion display, it has a telephoto lens that allows for genuine optical zoom, as well as smoother scrolling.
There are a lot of things to consider when comparing the iPhone 14 to the iPhone 14 Pro. In order to persuade customers to upgrade, Apple will need to add new features. The front camera on the iPhone 14 is expected to include autofocus, for example. But we’ll need more than that to get the job done.
