It is no longer necessary for Discord users to need Rosetta 2 in order to operate Discord on their new Mac computer. An Apple Silicon native version of Discord’s macOS software has been published by the popular gamer-centric messaging site.

Discord has published a new version of its app after a four-month beta test. The most recent version is a native app on Apple’s silicon.

Discord, a popular tool for audio communications and chat, has received an upgrade that adds native support for Apple hardware.

Despite the fact that Discord has always ran on Apple silicon Macs thanks to Rosetta 2 emulation, the business said late last year that it was developing on a native M1-powered version of the programme. If you’re using a Mac with either Apple or Intel chips, you can now download the newest version of Discord for Mac from the Discord website.

At least a few days have passed since the universal binary version of Discord was first made available. Two days ago, Discord’s own help forums revealed the new version’s existence.

It is preferable to run apps created for Apple hardware than to run them using Rosetta 2 on an Apple device. This week marks the first time that Discord’s Mac software has been made accessible to everyone as the default download option, after previously making a beta version of the programme available.

Intel has yet to introduce the Mac Pro, which relies only on Apple’s silicon processors for all of its other products, including the new Mac Studio. A new Mac Pro has been announced by Apple at the Mac Studio launch.

This native Apple silicon edition of Discord is a wonderful improvement for one of the finest Mac applications around.

To get the most recent version of Discord Canary for MacOS, go to the Discord website and download it. Dual-binary compatibility for both Intel and Apple silicon seems to be working on existing installations.

Electron is the technology behind the app. When it comes to cross-platform app development, the Electron platform makes it simpler for developers to create applications that run on Windows, iOS, and Mac.
