Is there even a reason for individuals who own the phone to anticipate that the smartphone gods would smile upon them and grant them a facial recognition function when the Pixel 7 series is likely less than four months away? The fingerprint scanner on the rear of my Pixel 2 XL was about as great as it could be, and others have stated the same thing about the biometric reader on the Pixel 5. This is what aggravates me about the entire situation (a). We acknowledge that the under-display scanner has a nice, contemporary appearance. However, Google, if you’re going to correct it, attempt to improve upon it rather than make it worse.
